10 Most Unique Fight Finishes In UFC History

7. Anderson Silva Slows Down Time (UFC 101)

Your writer is 99.9% certain that Anderson Silva is operating on a different frequency to us mere mortals.

A clear example of just how elusive Silva could be on his day was when he managed to seemingly destroy Forrest Griffin - both mentally and physically - in their UFC 101 bout.

Charging forward with speed and power, Silva forced Griffin onto the back foot and dodged whatever his rival threw back his way. Griffin was then dropped by a right hand, but 'The Spider' allowed him to get back up.

Another few big shots followed, but then things got surreal.

Silva dropped his hands and proceeded to slow down time as Griffin repeatedly swung and missed his target. Griffin's head then started to go as he realised that it didn't matter what power he had in his hands if he couldn't catch what was standing in front of him.

Griffin left himself open for another big strike - this time a left hand - and Silva again invited his rival to stand up, before planting him with a straight right on the retreat.

Holding his hand up in defeat, Griffin was done inside the first round and thus one of the most unique finishes you'll ever see was cemented in UFC history.
