10 Most Unique Fight Finishes In UFC History

6. Anderson Silva Lands A Front Kick On Vitor Belfort's Face (UFC 126)

It's that 'Spider' again...

When you're talking about the most unique fight finishes in UFC history, one of the most unpredictable performers to have ever lived was always going to pop up a few times.

We've already seen just how far ahead of the curve Anderson Silva was in terms of his movement, but now it's time to dissect his truly unorthodox striking game.

A front kick is typically used to either wind/wear down your rival (by smashing them in the mid-section) or to create distance for you to land another variation of leg strike.

Not if you're 'The Spider', however, as he opted to use the weapon as a way of knocking the ever-dangerous Vitor Belfort out on his feet at UFC 126.

Silva's aforementioned unpredictability often meant that fighters didn't know whether to sit back or go for the kill at any given moment. In this instance, Belfort chose to wait for a chance to catch SIlva on the counter... and paid a hefty price.

With unprecedented speed and accuracy, Silva let rip a rapid front kick which very nearly sent Belfort's head soaring into the front row.

'The Phenom' was downed in the first round and could do nothing to protect himself as Silva went in for the kill with a couple of devastating follow-up punches.

I mean, who knocks someone on their arse with a front kick, seriously?
