10 Most Unique Knockouts In UFC History

7. Edson Barboza Vs. Terry Etim - UFC 142

Finish: Wheel Kick/Spinning heel Kick

Edson Barboza is a serious purveyor of kicking. He loves to kick, he loves to finish with kicks. He'll throw those legs around all day if you let him.

We're talking about a guy who has finished fights via head kick, body kicks and leg kicks... three times!

That's right, he's pummelled and destroyed a fighter's leg(s) so badly that they've had to give up and take the TKO loss on three separate occasions.

You get the point.

His best, however, was reserved for poor Terry Etim.

After going low with a leg kick, Barboza took a couple of steps back, watched Etim drop his hands, then produced one of the cleanest head kicks in MMA history, sinking his heel into the jaw for the first wheel kick finish the UFC had ever seen.

It was as beautiful as it was destructive. Etim dropped to the floor as stiff as a board.

The moment was made better by Rogan's commentary timing, blurting out the words "the risk of being knocked out" quite literally as Etim was being knocked out.

Fighters like Junior Dos Santos and Vitor Belfort have utilised the spinning wheel kick since, but nothing quite like the day Edson Barboza dropped jaws in the cage and in the crowd.
