Throughout his Hall of Fame career, Mick Foley portrayed three very different characters. Whether he was the deranged Mankind, the chaotic and hardcore Cactus Jack or the peace-loving Dude Love, he left an indelible mark on the professional wrestling industry. In 1998, he made history by bringing all of those personalities out to play in a single match and, in the process, became the only man to ever enter the Rumble bout three separate times in one night.

Entering that year's bout at No.1, Cactus Jack battled friend and tag partner Chainsaw Charlie in a hardcore street fight that incorporated chairs and other weapons into the Rumble for the first time. After being eliminated, Foley reemerged as Mankind, but soon found himself tossed over the top rope and to the arena floor.

Finally, he made his final appearance as Dude Love, lasting all the way to the final four before suffering the same fate he had on two other occasions. Foley's different personas entering the bout covered up for the fact that there simply was not enough quality depth on the roster, despite the fact that WWE was gearing up to go on an unprecedented run of success in mere months.
