1. The Rock. Stone Cold Stunner. Need We Say More?

When it comes to debating who took the best Stone Cold Stunner, it always boils down to Scott Hall and The Rock. While Hall’s backwards spring out of the move always looked tremendous, the sheer volume of Stunners that The Rock took makes him hard to beat, and the way he sold them was often incredible.

The Great One wouldn’t just fall down and hit the mat, because that would be far too simple. Instead, he’d often flop around like a salmon leaping upstream, sometimes pivoting on his head, and occasionally covering the whole length of the ring before coming to rest. His Stunner sells are grade A gif fodder, and whenever Rocky and Austin were in the ring together, you could almost guarantee Rock was going to try something insane after taking the Stunner.

Hall wasn’t averse to a bounce himself, but his Stunner selling was generally a lot more realistic than The Rock’s, who focused on making it a spectacle. Sure, it sometimes looked a little goofy, but isn’t that part of the fun? The Rock’s elaborate showmanship is part of what made him such a popular performer, and while his Stunner reactions looked more like breakdancing than wrestling selling, nobody can say they weren’t memorable.
