9. Daniel Bryan

Sticking with the modern era for the time being, Daniel Bryan is another name that seems to elicit only positive words from his peers. Bryan is widely acknowledged as one of the friendliest, most genuine men in pro wrestling, and when you combine this with his high quality work you get yourself one highly respected pro wrestler.

Bryan's congeniality is well documented, the kind of guy that gets along with anyone and everyone. It even became something of a joke in WWE, with Ryback bringing up Bryan's 'bullying' on the WWE Network show 'Table For 3'. Of course, this bullying consisted of a couple of almost cuddle-esque holds from behind. Actually, that sounds a little weird.

Daniel Bryan is one of those strange performers seems to be universally loved by the audience and universally respected by his peers. This could be another reason why he works so well as SmackDown Live's General Manager.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
