When Scott Steiner returned to WWE in 2003 after a ten year hiatus, many fans who didn't watch WCW during its dying days thought they were getting the Steiner of 1993 who could deliver a hurricanrana and rock the ring with the best of them

Instead, they got Big Poppa Pump.

You see, Steiner had put on about 75 lbs. of bulk since his last WWE run and managed to turn from a wrestling machine into a barely mobile guy who suplexes people.

He was pushed into a world title program with Triple H because 2003 was dark times in McMahonland. WWE quickly realized he was absolutely terrible in the ring, so a wise decision was made to keep Steiner out of the squared circle until he challenged Triple H at the 2003 Royal Rumble.

The match was legendarily bad. The crowd turned on Steiner when they realized that not only could he barely move, he was also so gassed that he couldn't stand up without crawling to the ropes first.

After this debacle, WWE amazingly had a rematch the next month with the match being equally as bad.

Thankfully, Steiner was kept away from the title for the remainder of his disappointing WWE run.
