Here he is, the inspiration for this article: The most head-scratching world title challenger in recent memory, Jinder Mahal.
Mahal originally debuted with WWE in 2011 and proceeded to do absolutely nothing of note aside from an awful feud with the Great Khali and being a founding member of the "legendary" 3MB stable alongside Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre.
After losing every single televised match for nearly a year, Mahal was released from his WWE contract and the world, somehow, moved on. Story over, right?
Not so fast, my friend.
Mahal returned to WWE in July 2016, sporting a brand new physique which surely was formed by nothing but working out, chicken breasts, and a dedication to taking his vitamins.
Thanks to his newfound McMahon-approved body, Mahal somehow found himself in a six-pack challenge for a shot at Randy Orton's WWE title. He won this match thanks to the Singh Brothers and wrestling fans around the world said: "Jinder Mahal... really?"
