10 Most Unpopular WWE World Champions Ever

8. The Big Show (2012)

At Hell In A Cell 2012, The Big Show defeated Sheamus to become World Heavyweight Champion. The match itself felt a little long, clocking in at over 20 minutes in length. For his part, the Irishman was already unpopular as champion, due to the fact he'd been booked to beat Daniel Bryan quickly at WrestleMania XXVIII. Big Show managed to trump him with his 3-month reign. The feud between Show and Sheamus was not well-received. At Survivor Series, the pair had another drawn out affair, one which ended with a disqualification in favour of the defending champion. Due to the fact Sheamus had technically won the match, he was due another shot, which occurred in a 'Chairs Match' at TLC in December, Throughout all of this, fans struggled to become invested. By the time Alberto Del Rio defeated The Big Show on an episode of Smackdown in early-January, fans had long since grown tired of the giant holding the title. The Last Man Standing effort did raise some excited cheers from the audience, but people were more glad that Big Show was no longer champion. Constant switches between heel and babyface have definitely hurt his aura.
