There's likely a portion of the wrestling fraternity that don't really remember Jack Swagger's run as World Heavyweight Champion in 2010. There's a reason for that, the reign was so unremarkable that it's almost impossible to pick out any highlights. It really seemed like WWE's creative squad penned the title win without much thought a to what the future would hold. Winning the 'Money In The Bank' bout at WrestleMania XXVI, Swagger cashed in on Chris Jericho during the following week's edition of Smackdown. Aside from the initial shock that a new champion had been crowned, fans failed to register much interest. Unfortunately for Swagger, the same could be said of those writing television, because they gave him very little to work with. Swagger's 82-day run as World Heavyweight Champ was interminable. There was no attempt made to establish the man as a true headliner, which made it virtually impossible for people to become emotionally invested in what the champ was doing on TV. Out of nowhere, he dropped the belt to Rey Mysterio in a Fatal-4-Way match at the Pay-Per-View of the same name in June.
