6. Alberto Del Rio (2011)
Recently, there have been talks about WWE looking to approach Alberto Del Rio for another run with the company. Of course, the Mexican left the promotion on very bad terms in 2014, amidst rumours of racial abuse from WWE staff. If he ever does make a comeback, fans will be hoping he's not booked to take away from hot storylines, like he was at SummerSlam 2011. All Summer long, the main angle had been all about CM Punk. Cutting an infamous 'shoot' style promo in June, Punk defeated John Cena for the WWE Title at the Money In The Bank Pay-Per-View. From there, he kayfabe left the company, whilst Cena won an interim version of the belt. The pair then clashed at SummerSlam, with Triple H as the 'Special Guest Referee'. Fans were desperate to see the renegade punk come out on top. Unbelievably, he did, but then Alberto Del Rio crashed the party. Cashing in his Money In The Bank privileges, the aristocrat battered Punk to win the WWE Title. It was a huge moment for the man, but fans were not impressed. Worse yet, John Cena beat Del Rio for the title less than one month later.
