It's often been said that Vince McMahon has a real liking for larger-than-life characters. A bodybuilding enthusiast, McMahon appreciates a great physique, but he also loves intimidating size. For that sole reason, The Great Khali became a WWE star in 2006. At first, the big Indian set his sights on The Undertaker, who has been forced to feud with his fair share of immobile giants. Khali wasn't the most athletic performer, but McMahon apparently enjoyed his freak show appearance. Just over one year after his debut, The Great Khali became World Heavyweight Champion. Winning a 20-man Battle Royal on Smackdown in July, 2007, the legitimate giant captured the vacant title. People watching weren't enthused, because Khali sadly wasn't that entertaining inside the ring. What followed was a lengthy feud opposite Batista, who really did his best to drag watchable matches from Khali. Whilst they were far from horrible, there was never any chance that the awkwardly-sized wrestler could produce anything special. Eventually, he'd drop the belt to Batista in a Triple Threat Match that also involved Rey Mysterio in September of the same year.
