10 Most Unprofessional Performances In AEW History

5. Jungle Boy Jack Petty

Cry Me A River Thumb
AEW

In a way, it’s difficult not to sympathise with Jack Perry.

On the All In: London pre-show, he wrestled HOOK and blasted him against a car windshield. In response to Punk not allowing him to use a shoot car in an angle on Collision, Perry said “That’s real glass. Cry me a river.”

He didn’t really do anything that CM Punk hadn’t done a couple of weeks prior: he took a public, unprovoked dig at somebody he doesn’t get along with.

The idea that you can resent Jack Perry and support CM Punk is laughable nonsense driven by biased parasocial types. There is no moral difference. Punk and Perry did the exact same thing; Perry just wasn’t as big a star, and his timing was worse. His dig overshadowed AEW’s biggest ever show.

Perry didn’t have previous, either. Evidently weighed down by the whole Elite Vs. Punk debacle, he likely stewed over it and erupted at the worst possible time. Isn’t that almost relatable?

Still, this was wildly unprofessional. What followed is immaterial: Perry shouldn’t have chosen that forum to air his grievances.

Also: the “Not fair, he did it first!” defence is exceptionally childish.
