How could winning a non-scripted fighting tournament designed to determine the toughest, baddest dude on the roster, ruin your career?

Ask Bart Gunn.

In the summer of 1998, Gunn competed in the Brawl For All, a disaster that injured many on the roster, ruined their mystiques, bored live audiences and cost WWE a ton of money. Gunn defeated Bob Holly by decision, knocked out Godfather and tournament favorite Steve Williams and then dropped Bradshaw in the finals to win $75,000.

It should have elevated Gunn from the tag team division to the main event scene; instead, he floated around the midcard until facing famous boxer Butterbean at WrestleMania XV. Within 35 seconds, he was knocked out and his aura destroyed. Gunn would be released before the year ended.
