2. Mabel

Easily the biggest upset in King of the Ring history, the 500-pound “muscle” of Men on a Mission went all the way in 1995. In a tournament including Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, and Yokozuna, it was Mabel who somehow ascended to the throne. His reign was dead on arrival, though, as fans pelted him with garbage during his coronation ceremony.

That didn’t stop Vince McMahon from pushing the monster as the company’s lead villain, slotting him as the number-one contender against WWE Champion Diesel at SummerSlam two months later. After the match bombed, so did the push – Mabel wound up losing to Diesel and then the Undertaker, legitimately injuring both in the process. After Royal Rumble 1996, about seven months after being crowned, he was no longer in the company.
