10 Most Unusual Locations For WWE Events
5. Camp Victory
Since 2003, WWE has hosted "Tribute to the Troops" - a December special held in front of active members of the U.S. Military and (sometimes) their families, which they get to attend for free. Though in recent years, the shows have taken place in the U.S., between 2003 and 2009 they were all held in Iraq - except for 2005's edition, which was held in Bagram, Afghanistan.
The very first Tribute to the Troops, a special episode of Smackdown, was held at Baghdad's Camp Victory. A ring and makeshift stage were set up, with wrestlers performing in very cold temperatures for thousands of servicemen and women.
Obviously, there's a lot that can be said about that particular war effort, and WWE certainly missed no opportunity to pat itself on the back for its show of support, but the fact remains that Camp Victory was still one of the more unusual hosts for a WWE show.
