10 Most Violent Matches In WrestleMania History

4. The Undertaker Vs Triple H - (WrestleMania 28)

Hell In A Cell is designed for violence. In recent years, though, that level of violence has really dropped off. With WWE switching to a more family-friendly product, all of the blood and gore doesn't really fit in anymore, so the "modern day" Cell matches mostly feature a cage that is there for aesthetic value more than anything else. WrestleMania 28 changed that, even if for a single night. The Undertaker's undefeated streak was on the line, of course, but the story of Triple H wanting not only revenge for himself, but for Shawn Michaels, who Taker retired two years earlier, added a new layer of intrigue. Almost right away, the steel ring steps and a chair got involved. Triple H beat Taker down with a chair, featuring a level of force that chair shots haven't seen in the company for several years. Is that not enough for you? How about a sledgehammer coming into play? The match didn't feature a single drop of blood, and yet, it's about as violent as they come. Why? Both men are tremendous veteran ring generals, and they know how to put a match together. They know that the business is beginning to change and shift, but to "keep up", they went with a brawl that had an "old school" feel to it.
