10 Most Wildly Offensive Wrestler Names Ever

6. Ken Raper

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pR_ZwjAoHtQ Mr. Raper never quite made it as a big star (was it solely the name holding him back?), but he did compete in WWF as a jobber sporadically from 1995 to 1997 putting over some bigger names like Razor Ramon, Bob Backlund and Goldust. He mainly spent time in Continental Wrestling Association, and even took on The Undertaker before Taker€™s trip to superstardom. At the time, Taker was known as Master of Pain, which was pretty generic, but it was a hell of a lot better than being a Raper. To be fair to Raper, he didn€™t play up the gimmick and turn himself a rapist character. That€™s definitely for the best, you can only imagine the negative publicity that would€™ve created. But you€™d have to guess that being a Raper was going to hurt any merchandising potential that he may have had. Who would buy a Raper shirt, or a Raper action figure? Picture 22 Raper just happened to be the man€™s last name. An unfortunate one at that. So why didn€™t he change it? Everyone in wrestling changes their name, he could have called himself anything he wanted to! There were so many better, less offensive possibilities. Even Donny Tickler, Billy Fondler or Johnny Molester would have been at least slightly less offensive.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
