1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out Of The Shadows
The Celtic Warrior had a pretty big 2015, what with winning the WWE World Heavyweight Title and all (for about a month), but he could have an even bigger 2016, at least outside of the ring. That's because he has an important role in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Out of the Shadows, sequel to the 2014 live-action reboot. Megan Fox, Will Arnett and, sigh, Michael Bay will all be back for the second instalment which will see Sheamu's Rocksteady and Gary Anthony Williams' Bebop as the villains trying to thwart the wisecracking, pizza-loving heroes in a half shell. It's not likely that Sheamus will get that much time to do any proper acting, since he and his mutant friend are bound to be turned into CGI creatures before long. Still, there is a definite novelty of seeing the flame-haired, pale-skinned WWE star on the big screen and in such a huge production (the budget is bound to be over $100m). Especially since he beat out WWE castaway CM Punk in order to bag the role (do you think Vinnie Mac and Bay had a little sit-down to make sure of some things?). Will the film be any good? That depends on how much you like product placement and shots of Megan Fox's midriff, I suppose, but regardless of whether or not it's any good (it won't be), Sheamus' presence in it could open doors for the Irishman in Hollywood. Could he be the next Rock? Probably not, but I can definitely see him as Mark Whalberg's mob boss bodyguard, or something. So, are you looking forward seeing any of these films in 2016?
