When Chris Benoit won the World Title at the end of WrestleMania 20, it was hard to imagine ever being able to hate the guy. He was the consummate babyface. He'd worked so hard to achieve his dreams and you just had to respect his toughness. He was worshipped by the smart fans, who held him as the best in-ring worker of his era. It isn't possible to feel that way about Benoit now. He killed his wife and child, before killing himself, in an inexplicable act on June 24 2007. Fans started to question everything. Did we ever really know Chris Benoit? Was the 'Chris Benoit' on television just a character that was covering for an absolute scum? Nowadays, the only feeling for Benoit is one of revulsion.
