10 Must See Vader Matches

6. Vs. Owen Hart (WWF One Night Only)

There's a spot during this match, when Owen Hart fires back at Vader, nips up and roars at the crowd in Birmingham, that one wonders what might have been for Owen in the WWF. He showed real babyface fire there, and the fans ate it up. He, much like Vader, could have been more.

If you've ever taken a pass on this UK pay-per-view from 1997, then you're missing out. Vader vs. Owen is the very definition of a hidden gem, and it showed Vader's willingness to bump around for smaller workers when it benefited the match. There's also a sweet near fall off a Vader top rope splash, and it's compelling to watch Owen try to match power with the bigger man before finally slamming him.

The finish, a top rope powerslam, is similarly exciting. Seriously, don't think either man might have phoned it in just because this was a UK-only show. They seemed legit happy to be working against one another.

Also, hearing Jerry Lawler talk about slappers to a bemused Vince McMahon and Jim Ross on commentary is hilarious.
