2. A Slammy Award-Worthy Dolphumentary And Miz-TV

It will continue to be baffling until the moment that the feud concludes that Miz and Dolph Ziggler, less than six weeks removed from reigniting their decidedly mid-card series over the Intercontinental Title in 2014 to a collective ho-hum from the fan base, have been able to create quite possibly the most emotionally gripping saga of 2016, elevating themselves and the Intercontinental Championship to near the main-event level.

Tuesday's Miz-TV was more of the same from the combatants in this Sunday's Title vs. Career match. Miz is the best heel in the business right now, virtually the only heat-magnet on Smackdown who can sustain the massive jeers that he receives before they turn into cheers of admiration. The Dolphumentary was a brilliant production, either setting up Ziggler's heroic victory or his agonising defeat.

Ziggler was on-point yet again and continued his streak of promos that rank among the best of his career. The fact that two former members of the Spirit Squad returned for the segment and that Miz referenced the tragic moment when the male cheerleading troupe was unceremoniously sent packing back to OVW in 2006 was icing on the cake.

As compelling as the triple threat main-event for No Mercy may be, it is segments like this week's Miz-TV that find Ziggler's career-jeopardising match for the Intercontinental Title to perhaps be the most must-see match on Sunday's PPV card.
