9. Exactly Why Nexus Attacked The Undertaker

2010 was a memorable year for guys like Wade Barrett and his Nexus crew. Together, they stormed the WWE scene, laid waste to top stars like John Cena and instantly became hot sh*t. Later that same year, they were kneecapped at SummerSlam, but there was light at the end of the tunnel when they went on to help Kane bury The Undertaker at Bragging Rights.

Surely, working with the iconic 'Deadman' would be Nexus' route back to the top? Not quite.

Barrett teased in promos that their 'Taker bashing was the start of something bigger. He, as the leader of the renegade group, had lofty plans. Rumours began popping up on news sites that Wade would be The Undertaker's next WrestleMania opponent, and some even claimed he'd beat the legend.

Yeah, that didn't happen. Barrett didn't actually reveal why he'd helped Kane, targeted 'Taker in the first place or what this 'grand plan' for the future of WWE was. It was another mystery creative put to the back of their minds.
