At WrestleMania VI, Brutus Beefcake handed Mr. Perfect his first televised loss. One year later, ol' Brother Bruti was dressing up like the worst CAW this side of WWF War Zone and attacking numerous superstars for... reasons. Commentators were wowed as the mysterious masked man ambushed many pre-'Mania VII.

Fans would never be told who it was, or why he was there.

Some probably guessed, but most didn't realise it was Ed Leslie until the internet (or The Wrestling Observer) told them years later. In real life, Leslie was recovering from a life-altering parasailing accident that had destroyed his face completely. This was a soft return, likely designed to give Beefcake something to do.

As suddenly as they'd started, the attacks stopped. Victims like Rick Martel and Earthquake never spoke of them again, and Leslie returned to playing Brutus for a 'Barber Shop' talking head role. His weird chainmail and starred mask garb was never referenced.
