10 New Directions After AEW All Out 2022

2. MJF Becoming World Champ

Ain't no sympathy for this particular devil.

There is serious interest in him mind. MJF's return at All Out was the kind of lightning bolt shot in the arm this pay-per-view needed before going off-air, and it seems certain that Friedman will challenge old rival CM Punk for the World Title soon-ish.

AEW could even hold that rematch back for Full Gear on 19 November. In fact, they should, because the product defo doesn't need more rushed booking on TV. Tony Khan should've learned his lesson with the build towards Punk vs. Jon Moxley on Sunday. That was quite the rocky road.

If Khan's issues with Friedman are indeed behind both men, then they're about to do some tremendous business together. Few young stars in the industry deserve a World Title stint more than MJF - the promos he'll be able to cut (against a string of babyfaces) alone will be worth the price of admission for most shows.
