7. Sheamus Going Babyface?

There's a chance this was just organic respect from a live audience who consider Sheamus one of their own. Despite being Irish, Sheamus did work extensively on the UK independent scene before becoming a smash hit with WWE, but that's not the only reason why he was handed a standing ovation here.

People were bloody appreciative of his efforts in that cracker of a match vs. Gunther. Both men beat the living sh*t out of each other (as predicted), and there was something deliciously old-school about their 20-minute fight. It was as NWA in the mid-1980s as WWE is likely to get in 2022.

Now, Sheamus can quietly morph into a veteran babyface role for more matches with Gunther. He can also lead Butch and Ridge Holland into battle against a reformed Imperium if the writers so wish. Neither of those directions would be bad ones for the rugged ex-World Champ.

He's the blue brand's 'Mr. Dependable'.
