10 New Directions After WWE Money In The Bank 2018

4. Shinsuke Nakamura Moving Down The Card

Unless WWE fancy typecasting him as a specialist in title failure, they should keep Shinsuke Nakamura away from the WWE Title for the time being. At MITB, Shinsuke lost again to AJ Styles, and he did so in a match he chose (Last Man Standing) to give him an advantage before the show.

Following the rather comprehensive nature of AJ's victory, it's rational to presume that Nakamura will be cycled out of the title picture for a while and slide back down the card. Don't start worrying though, because the likes of Daniel Bryan and Jeff Hardy are waiting on him there.

Both those men would give Naka some respite from his repeated failure to take the WWE Title away from Styles.

If WWE play their cards correctly, then Shinsuke won't lose any steam as a heel and SmackDown will have an interesting villain in the mid card. The worst thing the writing team can do is hastily pen an Extreme Rules clash next month and have Nakamura lose one more time just for the sake of it.
