10 New Directions For AEW After Double Or Nothing 2023

2. Ibushi Or Okada As Honorary Elite Members?

Kota Ibushi

Honorary Elite members.

That's what Kota Ibushi and/or Kazuchika Okada would be if they're the "friends" Omega was talking about right at the end of Sunday's pay-per-view. Some online believe Eddie Kingston might be one of them, but that's nowhere near as thrilling for AEW's hardcore fanbase as Ibushi or Okada would be.

Ibushi makes the most sense due to his history with Kenny. Their run together as the Golden Lovers tag-team became iconic, and a reunion is clearly something Tony Khan would love to promote in AEW. Besides, Kota would even the odds now that Konosuke Takeshita is on the BCC side.

Obviously, Okada is akin to a 'Holy Grail' for some All Elite supporters. He's one of the best workers on the planet, and people are desperate to see him return to the company after his fleeting stay for last year's Forbidden Door show.

Ibushi and/or Okada involved in this Elite vs. Combat Club feud could be next.
