10 New Directions For AEW After Double Or Nothing 2024
5. The Brood Full Time In AEW?
Gangrel hasn't heard repeat popping like that since the glory days of Attitude Era magic in the late-1990s. OK, that's surely unfair. After all, Gangers has made several cameo appearances to great effect over the years, and he's remained active outside major promotions. Double Or Nothing must've been some buzz for the dude though.
Next question, and it goes to AEW's kingpin Tony Khan: Was Gangrel turning up to help Adam Copeland a one off, or is it part of a long term run with The Brood 2K24? Only those behind the scenes will have the answers to that, but coming episodes of telly will reveal all. Just don't wear white at Dynamite - those blood stains are hell to get out.
Cool souvenir from a show, to be fair.
Being honest, the barbed wire crown submission finish on Malakai Black didn't really work out as intended, but Copeland was visibly emotional when going in for the hug with Gangrel afterwards. This was the kind of set piece career fan service he wanted in WWE.
