10 New Directions For AEW After Full Gear 2023

7. Golden Jets Becoming AEW Tag Champs

They're from Winnipeg, you idiot!

Chris Jericho and Kenny Omega will likely dethrone Ricky Starks and Big Bill at some stage over the next few months. The champs have been building some momentum after shocking everyone by winning the AEW Tag-Team belts, but they'll be pushed aside once Tony Khan is ready to take the Golden Jets up a notch.

It seems impossible to imagine Jericho and Omega losing to Starks and Bill then splitting up. At least one tag title run is honestly a must for the pair, especially because they've just thumped The Young Bucks and stole The Jackson family's guaranteed championship crack.

Full Gear won't be the end of the drama between the Jets and Bucks, but the unanticipated Jericho/Omega tandem is about to carry some gold rather soon-ish. Commiserations to the current champs. You're about to hit the showers without those shiny straps.

Such is life. The Golden Jets are here to stay for now.
