4. CM Punk Chasing Hangman

CM Punk is exactly the kind of worker Hangman Page needs right now.

The reigning champ has had some scorchers against Bryan Danielson, Lance Archer and now Adam Cole, but one gets the sense that Hangman’s World Title reign is only just heating up. AEW better have something mega in store for him at Double Or Nothing, because he can’t have another exhibition-style defence.

That’ll get old fast, especially when there are blood feuds happening all around him. Besides, it's not like Punk making title gestures after beating MJF will be forgotten about. That was deliberate, and Punk vs. Hangman sounds pretty damn special. It's special enough to headline Double Or Nothing.

Toppling Punk would be a landmark moment for Page. He's being cast as a dignified fighting champion who never shirks a challenge, and he'd relish the chance to share the ring with a legend. Perhaps the only concern here is the unavoidable baby vs. baby formatting.
