10 New Directions For AEW After Revolution 2022

2. William Regal = Faction Leader

Holy sh*t - this was unexpected.

AEW smartly refrained from giving William Regal entrance music on Sunday. The ex-WWE lieutenant simply strolled out (he didn't even walk down the ramp) and encouraged both Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley to put their differences aside. Meanwhile, fans in Orlando collectively lost their minds.

This union that's been teased between Danielson and Mox looks like it's going to happen after all. What's more, it seems Regal will be the one to bring them together and lead the way. Honestly, that three-man attack could be sweet as hell if it's handled correctly over the next few months.

Regal is some mouthpiece when motivated. He has this gentlemanly vibe, sure, but there's a real anger bubbling just beneath the surface. Harness that and AEW will be onto something sensational. The Brit himself must be eager to do something like that after years of playing the mid-mannered babyface authority figure on NXT too.
