10 New Directions For AEW After Revolution 2023

3. FTR Becoming Two-Time Tag Champs

It's inevitable.

FTR returned to beat down The Gunns following their AEW Tag-Team Title defence. Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler weren't friendly faces returning for a cheap pop either. They were grizzled veterans coming to reclaim their tag division and remind some snot-nosed punks who the champs should be.

Most AEW fans won't disagree, which means FTR's second AEW Tag Title reign will go down a treat with regulars. It looks like The Gunns' days as champs are already numbered, 'cause there's just no way this coming feud ends any other way than Dax and Cash holding those belts officially.

It's fairly shocking to look back on the title lineage and see that FTR has only been AEW Tag Champs once since joining the company. Their sole reign lasted 63 days too, and that wasn't anywhere close to long enough for guys this good.

A second run with the straps is on the cards. It's just a matter of time.
