NXT TakeOver: The End... was as much a night of beginnings as it was endings. In fact, the beef between Finn Balor and Samoa Joe was seemingly the only thing to truly end, and the event threw up more questions than it did answers. The forthcoming WWE brand split and draft certainly doesn't help clear the waters either.

The End... saw Paul Ellering return to WWE with some brand new heavies in tow, and Bobby Roode also made what seems to be his official arrival on the yellow developmental brand. Titles were won, titles were defended, debuts were made and Shinsuke Nakamura continued to be the coolest man walking the planet today.

What does this all mean for NXT going forward? Well, surely some of the questions will be answered soon, as more and more information regarding the WWE brand split comes out. The future for NXT still seems somewhat uncertain, but the announcement of NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn puts paid to any lingering thoughts of the brand being finished off.

NXT is due to tape the next batch of television tonight, and whatever happens it is going to be a fascinating few months ahead of the August show in Brooklyn. Here are 10 directions that NXT seems to be heading in following The End...

10. Andrade 'Cien' Almos To Win The Cruiserweight Series

NXT TakeOver specials have long been home to international talent making their debuts, and The End... was no different in this regard. Andrade 'Cien' Almos arrived in NXT, defeating Tye Dillinger in the opening match of the night. Almos looked like an absolute star from the moment he shed his strange pimp-esque entrance gear.

Before making his debut, the strongest rumour was that Almos was going to be the main star of the forthcoming WWE Global Cruiserweight Series, standing out as the most likely winner of that competition. Despite debuting in NXT already, one would be safe in assuming he'll still have a strong presence in that competition.

In fact, he still stands as the most likely winner. It will also provide him with some momentum over the summer without being bogged down by the lack of heels on NXT as things stand.
