Following this match against Mike Santana at TNA Sacrifice being abruptly stopped on Friday, there's now a positive update on Steve Maclin.

For those who may have missed it, Maclin challenged for Santana's TNA World Championship at Sacrifice, but the match was stopped after just a couple of minutes due to fears that Steve had suffered a concussion from a Santana superkick. Referee Alice Lane immediately realised something wasn't right with Maclin and threw up the dreaded X sign, as medical staff and TNA President Carlos Silva checked on the 38-year-old former Marine. Eddie Edwards hit the ring to brawl with Santana as this was going on, and Edwards even took a bump through a table as a way to send the Westwego crowd home happy.

In a positive update on this, Carlos Silva has told Jon Alba of SI that Steve Maclin was taken to the hospital following Sacrifice, where he passed all medical examinations, and it was confirmed that Maclin had thankfully not suffered a concussion.

Maclin himself has taken to social media to show his thanks to those who've reached out to him.

Yesterday's TNA TV tapings saw Alice Lane and Eddie Edwards receive the company's All Star Awards for their roles at Sacrice; Lane for realising the severity of the situation and stopping the match; Eddie for thinking on the fly and doing his best to close out the show in a more positive way.
