9. Carmella Vs. Nikki Bella
We already touched upon this one in the previous slide, and truth be told it’s not an entirely novel direction as we’ve seen Carmella and Nikki Bella scuffling on SmackDown for a few weeks now. However, we’re yet to see this feud really blossom as a standalone rivalry.
What I mean by that is that so far, this one’s been little more than a subtext - an interesting subtext, but a subtext nonetheless -in the SmackDown Women’s Championship picture. Both women were unsuccessful in their attempts to capture the belt, paving the way for them to settle their score before the winner returns her attention to that SmackDown Women’s Championship.
Furthermore, we saw Nikki lash out at Carmella after her elimination in the Backlash six-pack challenge, so at this point it’s all-but guaranteed that we’ll finally be seeing these two in one-on-one action at some point in the near future.
They could give us this match on a throwaway episode of SmackDown, but really it would make more sense to eek this one out until the No Mercy show in just under four weeks’ time.
