10 New Directions For WWE After Backlash 2023

7. Both Women “Losing” Their Belts

Sadly, there's an unwanted piece of business to take care of first.

WWE will have to switch the Raw and SmackDown Titles between reigning champs Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley. It just doesn't make any sense to have them running around with another show's belt on the opposite show post-Draft. The other option is to delete those brand-specific names.

Triple H might entertain that, but then again he...can't exactly have two straps called the WWE Women's Championship. So, rather regrettably, one of those belt swap angles might be the only solution. It sucks, but the writers pinned themselves into this corner during the 2023 Draft.

If only there was another way to get out of doing what Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair did. That made both titles look like pieces of crap, and totally undermined the individual importance of winning each belt in the first place. Wrestlers should not be gleefully swapping prizes, put it that way.
