10 New Directions For WWE After Clash At The Castle 2024

5. A Stadium Show In Scotland

Weather permitting, it’s inevitable.

Drew McIntyre pretty much said that during his promo post-dark match win over Sheamus on the Friday night following SmackDown. He teased both Ibrox Stadium and Celtic Park, but then pinpointed Murrayfield in Edinburgh as a less polarising venue. WWE could easily sell enough tickets for that place with the right attractions

Plus, being in the shadow of an actual castle in the capital city would make way more sense for the PLE branding. Unless, of course, the promotion decides to produce a completely original pay-per-view that has nothing to do with Clash. That's possible too. Nothing is off limits.

Drew is still "owed" his big homecoming moment after CM Punk's tartan screwjob on Saturday. It wouldn't be their first clash (ahem), but a big rematch pitting McIntyre vs. Punk would do monster business if it happened in Edinburgh someday. Someone get on the blower to Hunter's people and put the idea in his head!
