3. But The Contract Is Still Intact

...the World Title contract wasn't in that purple briefcase at all.

What if Damian Priest's entitlement to a guaranteed championship crack was still in the original green version that was hastily discarded when "Señor Money In The Bank" became a thing on TV? JD McDonagh was the one who presented the purple to Priest, but maybe he had a sneaky plan up his sleeves.

WWE could then take this thread one of two ways. McDonagh could further endear himself to Judgment Day (and Damian specifically) by revealing that he's kept the contract safe and Sami Zayn doesn't have a prayer. Or, creative might prefer to have McDonagh try to one-up Priest by stealing the goods himself.

This is the sort of mystery writers can run with until the end of the year, at least. Maybe that aforementioned ladder bout actually ends up being between Priest, Zayn and McDonagh? What a lofty spot that'd be for the ex-NXT UK man.
