10 New Directions For WWE After Hell In A Cell 2018

7. A Short Title Run For Becky Lynch

It'd be a shame, but there is a sense that WWE have only put the SmackDown Women's Title on Becky Lynch so Charlotte Flair can win it back at Evolution to give that pay-per-view a major title change. Ronda Rousey is unlikely to lose the Raw version, so perhaps WWE see this as the only way.

It sucks for Becky, no doubt.

If her title reign is cut short, her fledgling heel run doesn't stand a chance. Fans will hardly jeer Lynch for losing the belt so quickly, and it might in fact worsen WWE's attempt to turn people against her. Though there's a stronger need to see Becky's anti-heroine persona shine, that doesn't seem to be the plan.

Let's give the company some benefit of the doubt and hope they see sense here. Maybe this is part of a bigger picture that's not immediately obvious right now. If it is, then things will work out better for everyone in the long run.
