10 New Directions For WWE After Hell In A Cell 2018

8. Randy Orton Moving Up The Card

Whether he was twisting Jeff Hardy's ear lobe with a screwdriver or gleefully revelling in the spoils of his win post-match, Randy Orton looked like he was having a blast as a vicious heel at HIAC. That's a good sign for WWE. A motivated veteran like Randy will help SmackDown through the rest of the year.

Along with Samoa Joe, Orton is one of the brand's best bad guys at the moment. That, once AJ Styles has moved on from Joe or the Samoan has become the new WWE Champ, bodes well. Either way, AJ has a new, credible rival to tussle with.

Bring it on.

Orton seems reinvigorated by his current booking after a long stretch of looking like he was going through the motions and couldn't wait to get home. Perhaps that's an unfair assessment, but no matter, because it's a moot point now. Randy's vicious 'Viper' persona is back with a bang, and it may lead to another main event run.
