10 New Directions For WWE After Money In The Bank 2023

Is WWE kingpin Roman Reigns about to lose it all after being pinned at MITB?!

Money In The Bank 2023 was a rip-roaring success of a card for WWE.

A visibly-knackered Triple H gushed with praise for the UK audience (several crowd chants aside), put over LA Knight, spoke passionately about Drew McIntyre's return and poured cold water on John Cena's WrestleMania in London claims during his post-show presser. It was clear 'The Game' enjoyed WWE's jaunt as much as everyone else.

There's no rest for the weary though. SummerSlam is just over one full month away, which means another massive stadium show is on the horizon. There, creative will likely crown some new champions, but...will this also be the end of Roman Reigns' peerless domination of the scene? He did eat his first pinfall loss in over three years at MITB, after all.

McIntyre is back, there's tension in both Judgment Day and Damage CTRL, WWE has some new briefcase holders, and Cena wants 'Mania on UK soil. That covers a lot of ground, and means the writers can pen some tasty telly between now and 5 August in Detroit.

Here's a glimpse at where the product goes next.

10. Ronda Rousey Going Babyface Again

Well, that came out of nowhere.

Shayna Baszler blasted Ronda Rousey from behind during the pair's would-be routine Women's Tag Title defence vs. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. Then, Shayna walked out as Ronda lost the match and dropped the belts. Everything about this seemed rushed and rather puzzling.

It looks like Rousey will be going babyface again, which is certainly a bold call. She's failed to click with pro wrestling fans for years now, and is a natural heel. So, is there a chance WWE will actually back Baszler as baby despite her sneak attack on now-ex partner Ronda? It's possible, but nah.

Rousey cut a confused figure who was totally stabbed in the back, and that'll surely be creative's story. It seems p*ssed off, fire-breathing babyface Rousey is on the comeback trail. If nothing else, at least matches between the pair will be snug, believable and (hopefully) get some decent time.
