10 New Directions For WWE After SummerSlam 2022

3. Ronda Rousey As A Heel

This has been a long time coming.

Ronda Rousey always felt a tad awkward as a smiling babyface, mainly because she doesn't have a lot of time for pro wrestling fans and is way more comfortable just kicking ass. At SummerSlam, Rousey snapped after being screwed out of a match with Liv Morgan and gave the ref hell.

Come SmackDown, fans can expect to hear from Ronda. She'll give them a piece of her mind, and that'll probably/definitely lead to another rematch vs. Liv come Clash At The Castle. The only worry here is that WWE likes heel Ronda so much that they cut Morgan's own title reign short before exploring what she's capable of in the championship hot seat.

Admittedly, it is cool to think of what Rousey could do as a villain. She'll be 100x less nervy on the mic for a start (one would hope), and already shines when she's physically dominating opponents mid-match. Some of those heel beatdown bits could be special.
