10 New Directions For WWE After The 2024 Draft

5. Less Emphasis On Judgment Day?

There was a time when Judgment Day ruled the Raw roost. Episodes were stuffed with matches, opening promos, backstage segments and even video packages starring the faction, but those days are coming to an end. Rhea Ripley's injury and Women's World Title vacation was a death knell for JD's dominance.

Damian Priest is still World Champ, so that might read weird to some. Understandably so, but can anyone honestly say Judgment Day has yet to peak? The group peaked at WrestleMania 40 when Priest bagged the belt, then the slide started shortly afterwards due to 'Mami' announcing she had to go away for a while.

Cracks have been appearing between Priest and the other members during various skits too. It's only a matter of time before Judgment Day becomes a thing of the past. Kinda wild to remember that this all started with Edge (who's now over in AEW as Adam Copeland), eh?

What a journey, but WWE's product can't focus on the same stables forever.
