10 New Directions For WWE After WrestleMania 34

10. The Miz Turning Babyface

As soon as The Miz walked onto the SuperDome stage, Raw's announcers began singing a very different tune to the one fans are accustomed to for one of WWE's biggest heels. Michael Cole, Corey Graves and Jonathan Coachman all drew attention to Miz's newborn baby girl and said it might help him "turn over a new leaf".

That's deliberate, and it's because Miz is about to trade playing the blowhard for a more inspiring babyface character focused on fatherhood.

The last time Miz tried on face status for size in 2013, it failed. Never looking comfortable as a good guy, the naturally antagonistic loudmouth ways Miz is known for didn't translate well even when he was endorsed by beloved icons like Ric Flair. In 2018, maybe he'll fare better.

Fans have accepted Miz as a WWE stalwart by now. On top of that, his work is respected (he's improved vastly in-ring) and he's been hearing the odd cheer ever since moving to Raw last year. The time is right to give babyface Miz another go.
