10 New Directions For WWE After WrestleMania 39 (Night 1)

1. The Slow Roll Towards Bloodline Implosion

Michael Cole (who had a quite excellent night in SoFi Stadium) teased this right at the end of the main event tag. He suggested that The Bloodline could soon become a thing of the past, or at least implied that Roman Reigns' group may well be losing their previously ironclad grip on WWE's day-to-day product.

Jey Uso vs. Roman Reigns seems inevitable again at some stage, but maybe not for a while. Pitching that does count as a new direction though, not least 'cause The Bloodline story has ruled the roost for so long. It's in the company's best interests to give it proper closure, and to explore what's possible if Jey rebels from a stronger position than he did back in 2020.

SummerSlam anyone?

KO and Sami taking the tag belts from The Usos was the first real dent in Bloodline business. They lost, and they'll likely lose again when Cody Rhodes takes Roman's prizes too. Then, the painful reflection and infighting can begin.
