10 New Directions For WWE After WrestleMania 39 (Night 1)
2. More Tag-Team Headliners
Sure, it’d take a special story to top what Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn achieved with The Usos over an extended period, but WWE should learn from this example and use it as a blueprint for future feuds. Saturday marked the first ‘Mania main event spot for the tag belts, but it shouldn’t be the last time Owens and Zayn headline a pay-per-view as champs.
Cody Rhodes, assuming he beats Roman, will likely spend the bulk of his time over on Raw. In theory, the writers could then make the Undisputed Tag straps SmackDown’s headline championships, or present them as such in tandem with Rhea Ripley's Women's Title.
It'd be cool if KO and Sami were allowed healthy input on their creative direction too, because they know better than most how to pull emotional heartstrings and weave compelling stories. Letting them pick their first Undisputed Tag strap challengers would be wise.
WrestleMania only whetted everyone's appetites for more doubles bliss.
