10 New Directions For WWE In 2024

3. CM Punk’s Return

Look in his eyes, what do you see? Millions of McMahon money.

OK, so that joke doesn't really work in the current climate due to the TKO announcement, but you get the point. CM Punk back in WWE would likely be a license to print money for both company and Phil Brooks alike. The promotion might've distances themselves from Punk in the short-term, but that surely won't be the case for good.

WWE is a business, and businesses want to make cold, hard cash. Bringing in Punk for his first matches under the WWE banner since 2014 would offer a serious boost during the traditionally tough post-WrestleMania period. Perhaps that's an archaic way of looking at things, but yeah.

Some still believe Punk is showing up before then during the Royal Rumble-'Mania sprint. Either way, he'll command a ton of attention, and matches vs. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are instantly-marketable for Triple H.

That's if Hunter can stomach someone he's never particularly liked.
