The Curb Stomp was all about the moment when Rollins' opponent bounced off the buckle and he zeroed in on their skull; that element would be conserved here. The spirit of the move is the same until the final shot.
Really all Rollins would need to do is avoid suggesting on RAW that the move could be used to commit legitimate homicide. It's quite likely that's what cost us all the Curb Stomp in the first place, but I digress.
Really, though, don't we all fear deep down that WWE is one day going to ban a simple kick? On second thought, let's not even risk it.
