Tracy Smothers is one of those professional wrestlers (like Spicolli, actually) that you may have heard of but aren't entirely sure from where. You may know of Tracy Smothers, but the chances are you have completely forgotten about his brief tenure in WWF where he was billed as Freddie Joe Floyd. If your ring name is a rib on company agents then your chances aren't too great. Hey Simon Dean!

Freddie Joe Floyd was a jobber to the stars during his brief tenure in the WWF, but he did manage to pull off a couple of shock victories. He defeated future 'Wrestling God' Justin 'Hawk' Bradshaw (JBL) in only his second match, and would even pick up a count-out win over a certain Hunter Hearst Helmsley, thanks largely to interference from Mr. Perfect.

The list of men that defeated Freddie Joe Floyd reads like a who's who of wrestling lore however; Stone Cold Steve Austin, Mankind, Vader, the aforementioned Helmsley, TL Hopper, Diesel and more. Wait, TL Hopper. Yep, Freddie Joe Floyd even lost to TL Hopper.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
